Divorcing Couple Forced To Change Passwords

A Connecticut judge has ordered a divorcing couple to swap passwords to their social networking sites.

The woman’s husband friends told him about postings that she was putting on the internet and he also saw private and personal information from sites such as e harmony and match.com. Things that a married woman shouldn’t be doing or saying he stated. This is where he gets a major side eye from me, he wanted his soon to be ex-wife’s passwords in hope to get full custody of their two children.

The shocking part is that the judge ruled that she and ultimately them both, have to release their passwords. This has to be a violation of her rights! He’s upset that he caught her cheating and now wants to know what she has been saying and doing. I call this a punk move on his part, get over it. She did you wrong but that doesn’t make her a bad mother.

If I was her I would make everything private, delete mutual friends and delete her accounts. After everything is said and done I would have the biggest divorce party too!!! 🙂

Do you agree with the judge’s ruling? Should divorcing couples give up their social networking passwords?
