A New Fashion Trend For Men: Mantyhose

Emilio Cavallini's unisex pantyhose

Italian design house Emilio Cavallini has designed a range of tights that it says are unisex and the styles are being snapped up by men, who make up two to three percent, or 20- to 30,000 – of the company’s customers.

The company’s vice president, Francesco Cavallini said: ‘When we started our online shop we noticed that a lot of tights sized medium-large were being purchased by men.…So I did a search on the Internet and discovered there is a cult following for mantyhose.’

The tights cost $27 and are made from a mix of cotton and nylon.

There were makers of  men’s tights before Emilio Cavallini from the U.S. and Europe. St Louis, Missouri-based G Lieberman and Sons makes a range of men’s tights in large sizes – and with front zippers included – while high-end makers, Falke, stock sizes that fit men. Paris-based makers, Gerbe, feature a range of men’s sheer black and nude designs on their site, worn with gusto by suave models in white shirts.

Ladies, would you be ok if your man wore tights/mantyhose? Nothing about this to me exudes sexiness. Remember the post about the men wearing nail polish, well, he can wear his nail polish with his mantyhose. I can see Lil Wayne rocking these…can you?!?!?! 😀

Human Hourglass: Model With A 20 Inch Waist

Fellas do you find this attractive?

Nothing about this screams SEXY or HEALTHY or NORMAL

This is Russian model, Ioana Spangenberg, with a waist of just 20 inches.(She has a height of 5’6) She insists that she eats three square meals a day, including fatty foods such as crisps, pizza and kebas.

Spangenberg  told The Sun: ‘No one seems to believe it, but every day i eat three big meals and I snack on chocolate and crisps all the time. ‘I just have a small stomach. It’s a bit like a gastric band, if I eat too much I feel sick’.

From birth, she had a normal baby size, weighing seven pounds but only saw her body transform into it’s current state when she was a teenager. When she was 13 she would get friends to put their hands completely around her 15in waist. She says she has tried to fatten up, eating sweets like Mars bars to do so, but to no avail.

I don’t want to call her a liar but something in the milk isn’t clean…this isn’t “natural”

‘In Romania it is better to be overweight, because that means you are from a wealthy family.’

In 2006, she she finally became comfortable in her own skin when she meet her husband. He encouraged her to become a model after photographs he posted of her online received a fantastic reaction. ‘I would still like to gain weight so I don’t look so shocking. And now that I live in Germany I can’t get enough pizza or kebabs.’

I had to stop the video after a few seconds in, the sight of her walking around was making me feel some kind of way. Peep the video for yourself.

Victim Of Botched Plastic Surgery Speaks Out

The Sunday before Thanksgiving, Miami Gardens police arrested a man who posed as a fake doctor to conduct unauthorized plastic surgery procedures on a woman who required hospitalization afterwards.

Police say 30-year-old Oneal Ron Harris injected a substance consisting of cement, “fix-a-flat,” mineral oil, and “super glue,” into his victim as a butt enhancement and then sealed the incision with “super glue.” The injections resulted in what police called a “serious medical condition,” requiring the victim to be hospitalized.
Miami Gardens Police say Harris also performed a similar procedure on himself.

O'Neal Ron Harris

I can only take an educated guess that anyone who saw this person would run at the first word go, BUT it’s only an educated guess. *Kanye shrug*

This leads us to the reason for this post, 44-year-old Rajee Narinesingh has come forward to put on a brave face to the story that has made headlines and heads around the world spin.

According to Splash News, the 44-year-old transsexual Rajindra, underwent multiple implants to her face, breasts, buttocks and hips over a two-year period from 2006-2008 in the hope of appearing more feminine, Rajindra, known as Rajee, is now receiving painstaking corrective surgery with Coral Gables plastic surgeon Dr John Martin. Rajee fears she could have died after being injected with a cement like substance and having her wounds closed with superglue allegedly by Oneal Morris.

So this is what Narinesingh looked like as of May 2011

This is the most recent picture of him

I will never understand the transgendered community BUT would one want to be a female this badly that they would let a stranger on the street do this to their face. This is mild compare to the other ones that are on the internet. I have so may questions to ask…like why would you let someone put cement in your face…why would you let someone close up a “surgical” cut with superglue…why don’t you just save your money to get it done the right/legal/safe way?

I have to say, when I saw him, I immediately thought of Real Housewives of Miami…you know, the mother on their that was always drunk (Elsa Patton)

This all kinds of wrong!!! LOLOLOLOL 🙂

Last but certainly not least, this also came to my brilliant mind!

The ‘Good Hair’ Debate AGAIN

Not another debate over what is “good hair” and if a Black woman should wear their hair in its natural state or buy it.

Actress Kim Coles visits with Dr. Drew to navigate the age-old debate of African American women and their hairstyles. Kim explains the history and culture of the accepted hair standards in her community. A panel of African-American women share their views on how and why they wear their hair the way they do. The panel will address everything from weaves to chemical processes to relaxers, iron pressed, natural wear and more. Today’s show uncovers the time, energy and money it takes to maintain various looks.

The man in the video clip below states that if a woman is well-educated and has a weave, he won’t bother with her. Take a look at this fool.

I’ve worn my hair natural, in braids, relaxed and any other way I see fit. I’m not a lace front wig person, or sew-in weaves, partial weaves or anything in between. I think it’s very ignorant of a person not to talk/date/marry someone over their hair. If I could, I would tell that man he is missing out on his blessings…it’s just hair.  Good hair doesn’t mean it’s long or straight.

Good hair is HEALTHY hair.

Below are some other clips from the show:

Nail Poish For Men

Webster’s dictionary defines a metrosesxual as usually an urban heterosexual male given to enhancing his personal appearance by fastidious grooming, beauty treatments, and fashionable clothes…I wonder does this include wearing nail polish?

A new beauty line, EvolutionMan, thinks that guys need their very own nail polishes.  The five polishes include white, dark purple, and gray, plus a shiny and a matte topcoat.

EvolutionMan founder Marco Bernadini thinks that men are looking for more ways to express themselves, and nail polish is one way to do that. “It is definitely less permanent than a tattoo, and you can change the color depending on your choice of mood or fashion,” he said.

The men that are wearing this “trend” will most likely not be the men for me but to each its own.

Dakota Fanning’s Marc Jacob Ad Banned

Actress Dakota Fanning’s recent magazine ad for Marc Jacob’s Oh, Lola! perfume has been denied in the U.K.

Britain’s advertising watchdog has ruled the ad too suggestive and must be pulled immediately, the BBC reports.

The ad, on the left, shows the 17 yr old in a thigh-length dotted dress with an oversize flower-topped bottle of Oh, Lola! resting between her legs.

The U.K.’s Ad Standards Authority determined that “the length of her dress, her leg and position of the perfume bottle drew attention to her sexuality. Because of that, along with her appearance, we considered the ad could be seen to sexualize a child.”

The ASA ruled that the ad was irresponsible, likely to cause “serious offense,” and must not appear again.

Coty UK, the maker of the perfume, had argued that the image was “provoking but not indecent.” On Tuesday, Marc Jacobs released a statement, calling the banning “unfortunate.” He wrote:

“It was our pleasure to work with Dakota Fanning for the Oh, Lola! campaign. She is a smart, pretty, interesting, talented young woman and we would never have suggested an advertising concept that we thought was inappropriate. I believe she is also very thoughtful about the projects she takes on and would not have done something that she felt was in questionable taste. It’s really unfortunate that people have taken anything negative from what we believe is a really good campaign and one that so perfectly embodies the fragrance.”

To each their very own!

Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Although the show doesn’t air until November 29th, the Victoria’s Secret Angels have been making sure that they were in tip-top shape for the show by eating right and exercising.

Adriana Lima’s training started with working out with a personal trainer daily in August, and for the last three weeks, it’s been twice a day. Nine days before the show, she will only eat solids, this means protein shakes only (containing “powdered egg”). After drinking a gallon of water for everyday for weeks straight, she will abstain from water for 12 hours before the show, to get rid of any water weight.

Miranda Kerr will be rocking this 2.5 million dollar Fantasy Treasure bra

Nicki Minaj has been added to the lineup of musical guests that will be performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show later this month. Cee-Lo was scheduled to perform but had to drop out for unknown reasons. Kanye West and Maroon 5 are also slated to make an appearance that evening.

The show airs on November 29th at 10:00 PM EST on CBS

“Dark Girls” Documentary Coming To Fox Theatre

Bill Duke and D. Berry

Bill Duke (Actor/Director/Producer) and  D. Channsin Berry (Writer/Producer/Director) have joined forces to bring a thought provoking piece on colorism within the Black community, an issue that is still very much alive today. This film delves into how women of a darker complexion perceive themselves as well as the public perception of beauty and the emotional toll this bias has on those individuals.

The Atlanta screening is coming to the Fox Theatre on November 19th at 7:30 PM

From watching the trailer months ago, I will say this is a must see film for all races/ethnicites as well as school aged children!
