Gwen Stefani Collaborates With Target

Gwen Stefani’s Harajuku Mini kids clothing line is the most highly anticipated Target collaboration since Missoni’s last month. The collection, which goes on sale tomorrow, are for kids aged one to 13 and will be very easy on the pocket, ranging from just $3.99 to $29.99

For her launch party, guest were greeted at the Jim Henson studios with towers of balloons and walked a bullseye carpet instead of a red one and signs reading Harajuku Station in reference to the area in Tokyo famous for its quirky fashions. Child models took their turn on the catwalk to show off Stefani’s creations to the sound of a DJ and were joined by the singer’s own sons Zuma and Kingston.

The collection is high on fun, with ballerina-style tutus, polka dots and fuzzy hoodies complete with animal ears and slogans such as ‘Hazard’, ‘Love Makes Me Cute’ and ‘I Am A Monster’. Those worried that it will sell out as quickly as the Missoni line, will be reassured to know that the star is also working on a follow-up collection, due to hit stores in January.
